New Art Gallery in Town~~ART on MAIN

Owner Ann Salas and Husband Gilbert, a Winning Team

New Gallery!  Art on Main ~~ Pleasanton, Texas

Gallery Grand Opening

by Cindy Morawski

On June 22, 2012, Ann Salas opened her new art gallery, Art on Main, with a ribbon cutting ceremony, 32 artists' work represented, and tasteful wines along with a large selection of delicious hors d'oeuvres for all her guests.  Ann Eason-Anderson and I were her two featured artists with extra paintings on display in the center of the gallery.  The reception's large attendance was in Ann's favor.  Also, lots of her artists were in attendance to help answer questions about their work.

This is Pleasanton's first contemporary fine art gallery.  Ann and her husband Gilbert purchased a barber shop last fall.  With love and lots of elbow grease this past year, they converted the barber shop into a beautiful art gallery.  The gallery features a variety of artists and media.  Everything from paintings to sculpture, can provide a discerning buyer with just the right gift or home purchase.

Art on Main, Gallery and Fine Gifts, is open for business Monday through Wednesday and Friday from 10:30 to 5:00.  On Saturday, the gallery's open from 10:30 to 3:00.  It's closed on Thursday and Sunday.  Look for it at 217 1/2 N. Main St., Pleasanton.  For more details about the gallery, check out the website:  www.ArtonMainGallery.net or call at 210.550.2102.

Ann is also busy planning for art-based activities coming up in September with Pleasanton's 3rd Friday Artwalk.  She is not only a recent gallery owner, but Ann's also a mosaic artist.  One can find her outstanding artwork in La Villita's Galleria II and also the SAVA Gallery at the RiverCenter Mall on Commerce in San Antonio.

Congratulations, Ann!  Hope your new gallery continues with lots of success.

Artfully yours,
Cindy
